Tipos de Rebite e Métodos de Rebitagem

Caros leitores,

Dessa vez iremos falar um pouco a respeito dos tipos de rebite, e das formas possíveis para fixa-los no que se deseja. Cada tipo de rebite se adequa a uma condição diferente de fixação, sendo que existem alguns tipos mais comuns e padronizados pelo mercado, podendo ser vistos no quadro abaixo:

Além desses tipos, destaca-se também o Rebite de Repuxo, conhecido também por “Rebite Pop”. Comumente utilizado em peças que não precisam de uma fixação tão resistiva a trações, sendo bastante conhecido por sua economia e simplicidade, podendo ser verificado na figura abaixo.

Os rebites de repuxo podem ser encontrados em materiais como: aço-carbono, aço inoxidável, alumínio, cobre e etc.

Tipos de Rebitagem

Os métodos de rebitagem irão variar de acordo com a largura das chapas que serão rebitadas e a que tipo de esforços que serão submetidas. Dessa forma, existem três tipos mais usados:

Rebitagem de Recobrimento:

As chapas são apenas sobrepostas e rebitadas. É amplamente utilizada na construção de vigas e estruturas metálicas.

Rebitagem de Recobrimento Simples:

Esta é mais usada para estruturas que necessitem de vedação. Comumente utilizada em caldeiras a vapor e recipientes de ar comprimido. Nessa rebitagem, as chapas se justapõem e sobre elas estende-se outra chapa para cobri-las.

Rebitagem de Recobrimento Duplo:

Assim como a de recobrimento simples, é utilizada para vedação, no entanto, sua vedação é mais eficiente. É empregada na construção de chaminés e recipientes de gás para iluminação. As chapas são justapostas e envolvidas por duas outras chapas que as recobrem dos dois lados.

Types of Rivet and Riveting Methods

This time we will talk a little bit about the types of rivet, and the possible ways to fix them on what you want. Each type of rivet is suitable for a different fixing condition, and there are some more common and standardized types of the market, and can be seen in the table below:

In addition to these types, also stands out the Repubble Rivet, also known as "Pop Rivet". Commonly used in parts that do not need a fixation as resistive to traction, being well known for its economy and simplicity, and can be verified in the figure below.

The pop rivets can be found in materials such as: carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper and so on.

Types of Riveting

The riveting methods will vary according to the width of the riveting plates and the type of stresses they will be subjected to. Thus, there are three most commonly used types:

Recoating Riveting:

The plates are only superimposed and riveted. It is widely used in the construction of beams and metal structures.

Simple Recoating Riveting:

This is most commonly used for structures that need to be sealed. Commonly used in steam boilers and compressed air containers. In this riveting, the plates are juxtaposed and over them another sheet extends to cover them.

Double Recoating Riveting:

Like the simple recoating, it is used for sealing, however, its sealing is more efficient. It is used in the construction of chimneys and gas containers for lighting. The plates are juxtaposed and surrounded by two other plates that cover them on both sides.
